Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Secretary, City of La Vernia, until 2:00 p.m. on the 25^th day of April, 2013 for the following project: Street Maintenance and Repair of Bear Gardens, Dr. Martin, Industrial Street, River Road, & Silverado Hills located in the City of La Vernia, Wilson County, Texas. Contract and Specification may be obtained from the office of the City Secretary, City of La Vernia at 102 E. Chihuahua, La Vernia, Texas 78121 beginning at 8:00 a.m. 18^th day of April, 2013.

07 Feb 2013	Notice Increase in Step Water Rates
At a Special Meeting of the La Vernia City Council on January 15, 2013 the City Council adopted Resolution No. R011013-01 amending existing Step Water Rates by 5.05 percent. This increase is due to a 5.05 percent increase in cost of the water the city purchases from Canyon Regional Water Authority. The new fees are effective as of January 24, 2013.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS LA VERNIA PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION The La Vernia Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 102 E. Chihuahua Street, La Vernia for the replatting of La Vernia Crossing Subdivision, being all of a 10.218 acre tract of land out of the Francisco Herrera Survey No. 6, Abstract No. 15, Wilson County, Texas and being Lots 1-7, Block 1, La Vernia Crossing Subdivision as recorded in Volume 10, Pages 98, Plat Records, Wilson County Texas at which time all interested parties shall have the opportunity to be heard with respect to the proposed replat. On August 11, 2011, the La Vernia City Council at a regular city council meeting adopted Resolution No. R081111-01, a Resolution of the City of La Vernia, Texas amending Resolution 111308-02 establishing the fee schedule related to water rates. The fees are as follows: Operational and Maintenance Fee – A three dollar ($3.00) per month Operational and Maintenance fee. On August 25, 2011, the La Vernia City Council at a special meeting adopted Resolution No. R082511-01, a Resolution of the City of La Vernia, Texas amending Resolution 111308-02 establishing the fee schedule related to water rates. Water rates were increased three percent (3%) with minimum gallons beginning at zero.
