FAQ Subject: Water Bill is High
FAQ Short Summary:

Why is my water bill so high this month?

FAQ Details:

If you are experiencing a sudden increase in your water usage, it is possible that you have a leak in the system.  A running toilet can use many gallons of water in one day.  A dripping faucet can use twenty gallons in one day.  To see if you have a leak, go outside and read your water meter then wait two hours without having turned on any water in your home and re-read the meter.  If the meter has changed then you have a leak.  Water leaks on your side of the meter are your responsibility, and you must pay for the water used even it is as a result of a leak.
