Water meters are read on the third week of each month.  Water bills are due by the 10th day of each month.  Water bills can be paid by mail, in person, or through the drop box on the Bluebonnet Street (west side of city hall).  Payments are accepted in cash, check, money order, or credit card.  If you present two checks with Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), the city will no longer accept checks for your account.  A $25.00 NSF fee will be charged for NSF checks.

If you fail to pay your delinquent account, a delinquent notice will be mailed to you.  Ten days after you are mailed a delinquent account notice your water will be disconnected.  Upon payment of the delinquent account, service will be restored within 24 hours (every effort is made by the Public Works Department to restore your water service as soon as possible).

If you turn your water back on without payment, the La Vernia Police Department will file criminal charges for theft of services.
